In-Home Supportive Services:
How To Get The Help You Need To Remain Safely In Your Home
Angelica Galang, Attorney

In-Home Supportive Services, or IHSS, is the largest publicly funded program that helps disabled, blind, or elderly individuals to remain safely in their own homes and avoid out-of-home care such as nursing homes or board and care facilities. The IHSS Program can help pay for services for individuals who are not able to fully care for themselves or perform routine household tasks. This 60 minute presentation, will explain the eligibility requirements for IHSS, the application process, the different types of services the program pays for, how counties notify consumers of their decisions, and how to appeal if you disagree with a decision.
