The Patterson Network Project Privacy Policy

Draft 2/18/2018

INTRODUCTION

The Patterson Network Project (“PNP,” “we,” or “us”) provides web and email services to disabled individuals and nonprofit organizations that have signed up to use our server. The PNP operates under the umbrella of Ophoenix Public Benefit Corporation in a manner that is aligned with Ophoenix’s 501(c)(3) status. This document covers all users of the PNP sites.

The PNP Project values its users’ privacy. This privacy policy summarizes what information we might collect from a user or other visitor (“you”), and what we will and will not do with it.

Please note that this privacy policy does not govern the collection and use of information by organizations that the PNP does not control, nor by individuals not employed or managed by the PNP. If you visit a website that we mention or link to, be sure to review its privacy policy before providing the site with information.

Please read this Agreement carefully before accessing or using our services. By accessing or using any part of our services, you agree to become bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access or use any of our services. If these terms and conditions are considered an offer by PNP, acceptance is expressly limited to these terms.

Our services are not directed to children younger than 18, and access and use of our services is only offered to users 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18 years old, please do not register to use our services. Any person who registers as a user or provides their personal information to our services represents that they are 18 years of age or older.

Some uses of the PNP server requires a PNP site account. If you need to obtain an account, you agree to provide us with complete and accurate information when you register for an account. You will be solely responsible and liable for any activity that occurs under your username. You are responsible for keeping your password secure.

However, unless you opt out (see below), we may use your contact information to provide you with information we believe you need to know or may find useful, such as (for example) news about our services and products and modifications to the terms of service.
  • We will take commercially reasonable precautions to protect the information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction, or in in other ways described in this privacy policy or to which you have otherwise consented.
